IndieDR does one job. You enter a domain, and it returns the current Domain Rating available from Ahrefs.
Domain Rating is a number from 0 to 100 that estimates the relative strength of a website’s backlink profile. The scale is logarithmic. Moving from 20 to 30 is not the same size of step as moving from 70 to 80. It is useful for comparison, but it is not a verdict on a product, its content, or its future.
The result keeps its source beside the number. Every score links to Domain Rating by Ahrefs, because the number belongs in context and the Ahrefs license requires that attribution.
The core checker stays free. It does not ask for an account, a card, or an upgrade. It also does not turn private lookups into public listings. The future Indie Index is a separate, opt-in, moderated project.
This launch post was drafted with Codex and reviewed as part of the IndieDR codebase. Future posts will keep their sources in the repository beside the writing.
